About the Shootathon

The second Rise Above the Rim 24hr Shootathon is taking place on July 16th and a united Basketball community hopes to raise $100,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria and Tasmania. It will be held at Swisherr Hoops Academy in the heart of Hobart.

We will be bringing together stars of the game, legends, and players young and old uniting for a great cause, shooting hoops day and night to raise much needed funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria and Tasmania.

Each club will have designated chill out zones and sleeping spots for the 24 hours, so pack those sleeping bags and stretcher beds and camp the night with us at Swisherr! A major prize will be given to the club that raises the most money on the online platform, so get sharing!

Here's How it Works

Register online, choose your time slot and raise as much money as you can. Every dollar you raise on your fundraising profile will equal the amount of shots you take on the day with state-of-the-art Dr Dish machines at Swisherr! Not only that but 100% of the fund raised by you and your team will go directly to RMHC VIC & TAS.

Every basketball club will be given a team in the 24-hour competition to fill with junior and senior shooting stars from their association. Each club will have 4 x 1 hour shooting slots spread over the 24-hour period. You can have 1 shooter for an hour, or 10 shooters for an hour, just don’t let the Dr Dish machine stop when it’s your clubs time to shine!
